Lockitch on Environmentalism

Keith Lockitch has a great editorial out on environmentalism. It effectively raises the question: "what do environmentalists consider the ultimate good, and is that compatible with man's life?"

Thanks for pointing to this, I'm now passing it around to all my friends. It's great!

Here is a piece of indirect evidence that ARI and a few other Objectivists are broadcasting messages to our culture--and that they are being heard.

I am a (very limited) participant in Facebook. My "Friends" are limited, with only a few exceptions, to the 40 members of the Seattle-Portland Objectivist Network. (I am one of the three coordinators.)

One member of SPON posted a link to the Lokitch essay. This particular member has hundreds of "Friends" on Facebook. Few are Objectivists. Now I know why. He is using his Friend list as a way of disseminating Objectivism.

Reactions (which appear in comments) to such links range from agreement (me), rage (Environmentalists), and denial ("Doesn't apply to me"). Though the reactions differ, the very fact that there are reactions shows that people are getting the message. Excellent.

Congratulations to ARI and Keith Lokitch.
